SUMMARY:Hospice 23rd Annual LifeLight Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Dear Hospice Friend:\n\n \n\nOn behalf of Hospice of Rockingham County\, we would like to invite you to participate in a very special event to open your holiday season. On Thursday\, December 1st\, at 6:30pm\, we will hold our 23rd annual LifeLight ceremony. LifeLight is an opportunity to honor and remember those special people in your life by sponsoring a light on our tree. Our 2016 ceremony will be held at Calvary Baptist Church\, 7860 Hwy 87\, Reidsville\, and will feature seasonal music and conclude with a reception in the fellowship hall. \n\n \n\nSince 1994 our LifeLight tree has sparkled each December with hundreds of lights\, and this project has raised almost $350\,000.00 to help provide care for our uninsured and underinsured patients and families. For 2016 we have set our goal at $25\,000.00. As always\, proceeds from LifeLight will help ensure continued quality care for our patients and their families\, regardless of their insurance coverage. For fiscal year 2015-16\, we cared for almost 500 patients and families and provided almost $100\,000 in uninsured patient care. HRC is very proud to be able to say we have never turned away a patient due to lack of coverage or ability to pay. Continued cuts in Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and an ever-increasing number of people having no insurance coverage make this more and more of a challenge to accomplish but we have faith that with continued strong community support\, we will always be able to make this statement!\n\n \n\nLights may be sponsored for a suggested donation of $5.00 per light. For your convenience\, you may make your LifeLight donation online at www.hospiceofrockinghamcounty.com. Due to the high volume of mail during the holidays\, please allow 7-10 business days for acknowledgement processing.
