In observance of Black History Month, the Museum & Archives of Rockingham County (MARC) presents an African American History, Culture & Art Expo on Thursday, February 28th from 6-9pm. From 6-7pm explore the art exhibit and meet the artists, then at 7pm attend the program in the former Superior Courtroom on the second floor.
The Expo highlights some of our Rockingham County African American art, history, poetry and includes dramatic performances of significant African American people in history, such as a portrayal of Sojourner Truth, and music provided by our local church and high school choirs, including the Beulah Baptist Church (Madison) Praise and Dance Team and the Reidsville High School Choral Ensemble.
The cost of admission to the Expo is $5 for adults, $3.50 for students and seniors, $2 for children (4 and under admitted free) and includes access to the museum, so come early.
Join us, participate and celebrate Black History Month. We invite you to attend.
