An 1845 Piedmont Christmas Celebration at Wright Tavern

The Museum & Archives of Rockingham County proudly presents an 1845 Piedmont Christmas at Wright Tavern. You are warmly invited to join us Saturday-Nov. 30, 2013 from 1-4pm for a traditional 19th century holiday reception featuring the food, music and décor of an earlier era. After the reception, visit several of the county?s historic sites for a day of seasonal festivities. Enjoy the holiday season at Wright Tavern (est.1816), the MARC at Rockingham County?s Historic Courthouse (est.1907), High Rock Plantation (est. 1808) and the museum at Madison Dry Goods in the former Penn Hardware building (est. 1908). Tickets are available for purchase on-line at www.themarconline.org, by mail and at the MARC. Tickets for adults (ages 12 and over) are $15; children (ages 0-11) are FREE.
