Greetings, my name is Rev Louise Rucker. We moved to Ruffin, NC in 1975 from New Jersey. Every year we spent the summer months in Ruffin and Reidsville, visiting family and friends. I retired from RCDSS several years now and I have 3 grown children and 6 young adult grands. Some of the simple things I enjoy are reading, cooking, researching information, fellowship (meeting people where they are to share the love of Our Lord and Savior) quiet times and the list seems endless. My favorite place to visit is the beach and I am looking forward to spending some long overdue time there (hopefully) Covid changed what was and made us look at life differently. For some of us we still feel a little isolated due to health issues, but we are still here, taking it one day at a time. It is always good to have a dash of humor and laughter along with good conversation sometimes to make the day a little lighter from all the everyday stress.Always remember a smile and kindness can relight a dim candle.
