5th Annual Community Carnival
First United Methodist Church, Reidsville will hold the 5th Annual Community Carnival on Saturday, August 24, 2013. The carnival provides local children a day of fun and learning activities with their families as an end of summer vacation and back to school event. Elementary children are given a packet of back to school supplies that include pencils, crayons, pencil sharpeners, composition notebook, erasers, binders, notebook paper, glue sticks, rulers, scissors and colored pencils. Preschool children receive packets of crayons, coloring books, activity books, colored pencils, scissors and glue sticks. Children and their parents are invited to participate in all the activities and games. Activities include many games, inflatables, pony rides, dunking booth and learning opportunities such as the fire department’s smoke house, a booth by the Reidsville Police Department and a booth concerning health care. The children and their families are treated to a hot dog lunch, snow cones and popcorn. Everything is free! Last year over 500 children and adults attended.
