Animal Shelter Open House and Animal-palooza
The Rockingham County Animal Shelter will hold an Open Houseand Animal-palooza at 250 Cherokee Camp Road behind the Governmental Center.
Immediately following official remarks and the beginning of facility tours, The Animal Protection Society of Rockingham County will hold its annual "Animal-palooza” on the Shelter grounds. The public is invited to attend. This event features a variety of rescue and humane groups and activities such as:
- RockinghamCountyHumane Society
- Feral Cat Assistance
- Canine Good Citizen Testing and Demonstrations
- Flurry's Hope Horse Rescue
- Dogs Deserve Better
Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome, and a "Scruffy Mutt Best in Show" competition will be held beginning at 12:30. Food vendors and children's games and activities will also be on hand.
