Homemade Music Concert
Mark your calendar. It’s time for Homemade Music.
On Friday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Advanced Technologies building, local and area musicians will once again take the stage at Rockingham Community College for the fifteenth annual RCC Musicians’ Guild Homemade Music Concert.
This year’s lineup includes Chords and Strings, a dulcimer ensemble that got its start in an RCC continuing education course; Troublesome Creek, a “cover” band that includes RCC instructor Anne Marie Freeman on vocals; perennial favorite, Ed Dodson, who entertains on bluegrass guitar, mandolin and bass; and Campus Tradition, a popular string band comprised of current and retired RCC staff and faculty.
It’s a great way to brighten up an evening in February.
There is no admission charge, but attendees are asked to make a donation. One hundred percent of the donations benefit the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Over the years, those donations have amounted to well over $10,000.
