Seminar ''Networking is Not Selling''
It's no wonder that folks are sometimes reluctant to attend the Chamber's Business Coffee or After Hours. Many people are uncomfortable because they are introverted and unsure how to engage others in conversation. Other people are uncomfortable shoving their business card in someone's face and introducing themselves. Worse yet, have you ever been on the receiving end of an uninvited sales pitch? This session will explore the comforts and discomforts of networking, its role in the marketing mix and the differences between networking, marketing and selling. We will explore the "rules of engagement" for appropriate, respectful and effective networking.
