The Western Rockingham Chamber of Commerce is postponing our Annual Membership Dinner as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our entire population. Meetings across the state have been cancelled and travel restrictions have been put in place. The well-being and safety of our community is a top priority. There is much uncertainty as this situation evolves. We will schedule a date later this year and keep each member updated when we finalize the new date.
Old School Block CommitteeRibbon cutting was held on October 17th at 12:00pm. Catherine Wilson was the speaker for the Old Block Committee. They started in 2011 to celebrate and commemorate Black History on the Block. We are thankful for them and are happy to celebrate alongside their committee. Cutting the ribbon was Mayor Pro Tem Harry Brown alongside Coucilman Donald Gorham, and Councilwoman Terresia Scoble. Also present were the RDC, city officials, chamber members and our ambassadors.
