12th Annual Walk to Remember

The Hospice Doves invite you to join them on the walking trail at Chinqua Penn Plantation on April 21st for their 12th annual Walk to Remember. The Walk to Remember is always a popular event and with your help, we will make 2018 the largest walk to date! Each participant will receive a commemorative backpack and we will have free refreshments available for during and after the walk. Freshly-grilled hot dogs will be available for lunch for a nominal donation. Memorial doves, to be placed on the trail, may be purchased for $1.00 each on the day of the walk. Registration will begin at 8:30a.m. and the walk will start at 10:00a.m.; pre-registered walkers may arrive anytime after 8:30a.m. to pick up their backpacks. This event raises money for the uninsured and under-insured patients that Hospice of Rockingham County serves each year. HRC provides between $75,000 – 100,000 in uncompensated care annually and in more than 30 years of service, we have never turned away a patient needing care but lacking coverage. Successful events like the Walk to Remember help us continue to provide services to patients regardless of insurance coverage or financial means.
