Christmas at Wright Tavern
On Saturday, December 14, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, the Museum and Archives of Rockingham County will host the annual Christmas at Wright Tavern Open House in Wentworth. This year we will be celebrating the “Golden Age” of the 1920’s. This was a decade of great social change, innovation and reform - from the momentous 19th amendment granting women the right to vote, to aviation breakthroughs, to the invention of the television set.
A feast for the senses, the Wright Tavern will be adorned with elegant honeycomb and crape decorations and the aromas of authentic culinary dishes to taste. Our living historians will also help transport you back in time to the roaring 1920’s with historic guided tours. The best bit – both the Wright Tavern and the Museum are free admission!
You are also invited to meet our new MARC Executive Director, Matthew Titchiner, as we welcome him to MARC and to Rockingham County during the open house. The MARC gps location is 1086 NC Highway 65, Reidsville, NC.
