Triad Goodwill Closing Maple Avenue Retail Store & Donation Center in Burlington

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After 40 years at 2320 Maple Avenue in Burlington, Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) will be closing their Retail Store and Donation Center at this location. The last day to shop will be Saturday, June 27 between 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and donations will be accepted from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The Maple Avenue location holds a special place in Triad Goodwill’s history as the organization’s original store in Burlington. For four decades, the store has welcomed generations of shoppers, donors, team members, and supporters whose contributions have helped fund workforce development programs and create opportunities throughout the region.
“While it is never easy to close a location with such a rich history, we are incredibly grateful for the community support that has sustained this store for 40 years,” said Celeste MacMurdo, chief operations officer for Triad Goodwill. “The Maple Avenue store helped establish Goodwill’s presence in Burlington and played an important role in advancing our mission of helping people achieve greater independence through employment and training opportunities.”
The closure reflects the organization’s ongoing efforts to align resources and operations to best serve the community. Customers and donors will continue to have convenient access to Triad Goodwill services at three nearby locations, all within approximately three miles of the Maple Avenue store:
Burlington Goodwill – 3740 South Church Street, Burlington
Graham Goodwill – 1108 South Main Street, Graham
Mebane Goodwill – 598 Deerfield Trace, Mebane
These locations will continue accepting donations and offering the quality shopping experience customers have come to expect from Triad Goodwill.
To help clear the Maple Avenue store, all items will be 50% off on 24 and on June 25 EVERYTHING will be $1 until the doors close at 7:00 p.m. on the 27.
As the Maple Avenue store prepares to close, Triad Goodwill extends its sincere appreciation to the loyal customers, generous donors, dedicated employees, and community partners who have supported the location throughout its 40-year history.
